Jesus deals with his disciple's yearning for greatness, not by denying the desire to be great but by redefining true greatness as being a servant. We become like Jesus by taking the form of a servant and giving up our lives.

Luke 12:31-35 Jesus tells us to seek his Kingdom and invest in his kingdom. We can have treasure that doesn't perish.

1 Timothy 6:17-19, Paul instructs Christians who are rich in this age to trust God, do good, share financially laying up treasure in the life to come. This is really living.

1 Timothy 6:6-10
Being financially free means learning to be content, be a cautious consumer and have a correct view of money.

1 Chronicles 29:11 and following. To live financially free we must yield to God's ownership realizing that he is our provider so we can live gratefully and dependently.

Jeff is from Living Hope Church, St. Joseph, MO. In John 4 Jesus tells his disciples that he has the food of doing the Father's will. Through sowing and reaping the gospel we are earning heavenly wages and rewards.
